Closing the last rnd: Using a tapestry needle, go though the front loop of each st in the last rnd and pull yarn to close. Make a little knot in one of the sts and hide the tail.
I’m a lefty! If you’re right-handed, you’ll notice that some of my pictures may look inverted when compared to your work.

Assembly
Sew a pompom onto the 1st rnd of the hat. If you’d like to crochet one, make:
Rnd 1) 6 sc in a MR (6)
Rnds 2-3) 6 sc around (6) [2 rnds]
FO, stuff lightly and close the last rnd.
Nose: Cut a piece of chenille yarn, same color you used for the skin. Embroider a nose on rnds 7-8, in the space of 2 sts between the eyes. Go over the sts 3-4 times. Make a knot with beginning and end tails and hide them inside the head.

Sew the hat on the head: the front of the hat should be 2 rnds above the eyes and the back should be on rnds 11-12. On the sides, leave 3 sts between the corner of the eyes and the edge of the hat. Fold the hat around rnds 6-7 and sew the tip of the hat onto rnds 11-12 using red yarn. Weave in tails.

Sew the beard onto the face: Use beginning and end tails to attach the beard under the edge of the hat, between rnds 5-6 (1 rnd above the eyes, there will be 1 free st between the eye and the beard). Use pins to keep the beard in place before sewing: The bottom-middle of the beard should be between rnds 8-9 for about 6 sts, there will be 1 free rnd between the eyes and the beard. Sew beard onto the face using the ch sts from rnd 1 of the beard. Weave in tails.

Cheeks: Use a clean brush and some blush to make pink cheeks on your Santa, between the eye and the beard.
Eyebrows: Cut a piece of white chenille yarn to make the eyebrows diagonally, in the space of 2 sts from rnds 5-6 to 6-7, right above the eyes. Go over the sts twice.Make a knot with beginning and end tails and hide them inside the head.
Thread: Cut a piece of thread in the color of your choice and attach it to the top center of Santa’s hat (where it folded), the ornament should stay straight when you hold it by the thread. Make a knot and trim the ends.
Eye detail (optional): Using white cotton yarn, pull out in one corner of the eye and insert needle in the other corner, pull yarn until it’s tightly set around the bottom of the eye.

Your Santa Ornament is ready !
